How to play Jungle Robot

A visual guide · Make your first leap and paired shot

Your goal

Find your rhythm on the jungle trail.

Run as far as your shields take you. Leap over broken ground and clear rogue machines with your pulse blaster. Checkpoints keep coming; choose when to pause and bank your earned score.

RUN · LEAP · FIREMORE JUNGLE AFTER EACH CHECKPOINT

These are simplified teaching diagrams, not screenshots. The trail scrolls steadily while you move the tracked robot left or right.

01Start running, then choose your pace

  • Select Start Run or press Space to begin. Release that starting Space press before using Space to jump.
  • With the trail focused, hold A or Left to move left, or D or Right to move right. Slow and Fast do the same on screen. Release to stay at your chosen position; holding both also holds position. The trail keeps a steady pace.
  • On touch screens, hold Slow or Fast with your left thumb. Jump and Fire sit on the right and can be used together. Mouse users can use the same in-screen buttons.
  • Use a landscape window with room for the trail. A rotate or room notice pauses play safely; after returning to a suitable view, select Resume.

Choose your position along the trail

Move left to make room to react, or right to line up a shot. Position is bounded so the robot remains on screen. Jump and Fire work while moving.

02Press once to leap, then leave room to land

  • Press Space, W or Up, or use Jump. Release before the next leap; holding Jump does not make the robot hop repeatedly.
  • A level-ground jump takes about 1 second. Its highest point is about 1.5 robot heights after 0.5 second. There is no second jump in midair.
  • Jump before reaching a stone or crater. Moving left gives you more room to judge the edge; leave space for your landing.

One press makes one complete leap

The three moments are shown side by side for clarity. In the game the trail scrolls under the robot. Keep holding Fire if a machine is nearby.

03Hold Fire for both directions

  • Hold J, K or X, or the Fire button. Every shot sends one pulse forward and one upward together; there is no aiming switch.
  • The first pair fires immediately, then pairs repeat every 0.12 second while held. You can fire while jumping. The front shot rises with the robot, so land to line it up with ground targets again.
  • Release Fire to stop shooting. After a pause, focus change or help, release your held controls and press freshly when you resume.

Gold pulses travel right and up. Holding Fire through a busy stretch can clear a ground robot and an overhead drone with the same control.

04Read the trail before it reaches you

Read ground hazards and watch for falling bombs

STONECRATERROBOT +25DRONE +40FIRE OR JUMPFIRE UPWARDFALLING BOMBINTERCEPT OR MOVE ASIDE
Jump stones and craters; shoot or jump ground robots. Clear drones before they drop a bomb, or line up an upward pulse to intercept it. A bomb hitting the ground makes another crater.
  • The opening stretch introduces ground robots, stones, drones and gaps. Later stretches combine them, so watch your landing as well as your next shot.
  • A drone signals with a bright ring before dropping one bomb. Move out of its path or intercept it. A direct bomb hit costs one shield; the last shield ends your run. Intercepting a bomb adds no points.
  • After the first few sectors, the challenge settles into repeating mixed patterns. There is more jungle beyond them, with no final sector or run timer.

05Keep your shields and build your score

  • Start with three shields. A collision, direct bomb hit or missed crater costs one. Nearby danger clears and you get 1.5 seconds of protection to find your rhythm again.
  • Every third checkpoint restores one shield, up to three. A checkpoint arrives every 60 trail units; the sector number shows where you are.
  • Earn one point per whole trail unit, 25 per ground robot, 40 per drone and 100 per checkpoint. A sector without a hit adds 50 clean points at its checkpoint.

A clean example earns 275 points

This example travels 60 units, clears one robot and one drone, then reaches a clean checkpoint. Your actual targets and score vary; shield repair adds no score of its own.

06Pause, read help, or bank your run

  • Select Pause, or press P or Escape with the trail focused. Choose Resume when ready; a fresh P or Escape press also resumes from the focused trail.
  • While paused, Bank Run finishes with the points already earned. Banking adds no bonus and works even at zero points.
  • If all shields run out, your run finishes too. The Good Game! screen offers Play Again for a fresh trail or Menu to browse games.
  • Music and effects begin after you start. Use the sound button in the header to mute or unmute them. Pausing, opening help or leaving the game silences play.

Visual Guide freezes the robot, hazards and score. Close with Escape or Back to Game. A running game stays paused for deliberate Resume afterward; a game already paused stays paused, and a ready game still waits for Start Run.
