How to play Bellweft
A visual guide · Make your first calm centre strike
Your goal
Two bells. One calm beat.
Follow the current Left or Right cue. Strike that bell as it crosses its upright centre line. Keep your rhythm through repeating mountain towers, then Bank whenever you are ready.
These are simplified teaching diagrams, separate from your live tower. Bellweft runs in real time and needs no sound. Reading help pauses your run; close it and choose Resume when ready.
01Make your first centre strike
Read Left, wait for the line, press once
- Choose Start. Press A or Left Arrow for Left; D or Right Arrow for Right. Mouse or touch: press the matching Left or Right button. Make a fresh press for every cue; holding does not keep striking.
- Read Current before watching the crossing. Both bells move, but only the marked side earns points. The approach marker and fixed line show the timing without sound.
02Find the timing window
Good surrounds the smaller Perfect window
Look ahead at Next after one press. Further presses for that resolved cue are ignored. Resting gaps are also ignored; an early press during an active approach uses that cue and a heart.
One attempt, then follow the next cue
03Build a bright streak
Successes multiply strike points
- Survive all 12 cues for 200 clear points. Match every cue for 300 extra points and one restored heart, up to 3. The short transition begins after the last window closes.
- Your score, hearts and streak carry into the next round. A slip resets the strike multiplier to ×1. Clear and clean bonuses are separate from strike multipliers.
- Score is your earned total. Hearts are your remaining chances. Round counts the continuing rounds; Streak shows the current strike multiplier. Current and Next identify sides rather than extra attempts.
04Keep playing, or Bank your run
Three towers, a continuing rhythm
- Bank keeps your earned points, even at zero or partway through a round. It does not award an unfinished round. Play Again starts fresh; Menu returns to the games.
- P pauses or resumes; Escape pauses. How to Play retains the original text. Visual Guide opens these pictures. Help, browser interruptions and too little room preserve the run, then require explicit Resume.
- Portrait and landscape phones are supported. The game needs at least 288 × 284 pixels for its field, HUD and controls, including a field at least 288 × 124. Browser headers and safe areas affect the room available. A smaller space shows a request for more room and freezes play.
- Use Full screen if supported, or Expand game for a larger view. Browser bars may remain. The same display control exits the larger view. Scroll outside the strike buttons to reach information and rankings below.
